Summer vacation has just finished and it was the first day of school and my first day of being a sophomore. I remember praying to God before arriving at school and asking him that i would have a good school year and that i would do better than freshman year. I also asked him if i could make it in the basketball team this year. After that prayer i was reminded of my mom telling me that she knows i would've done better if i wasn't lazy. So when i arrived at school i was happy to see my friends again and my teachers. That year i was taking Geometry, Language Arts 2, Broadcast Media, Physical Education, Physics, and U.S History. Looking at my schedule I was excited that the courses i wanted was there and that i was taking "easy classes" except broadcast since it was very new to me and i knew it would take time for me to get the hang of it.
The first month of school has gone by and my parents would always check on my grades and remind me whats due for each week. When she logged in, she was very surprised. Guessing from her facial expression i thought she was very surprised in a good way and that she was proud of me. But when she made me look at my grades, I too was very surprised. I really thought I was doing well in school and that i would have nothing to worry about for this year. But it was my tests that killed my grades and my mom was really upset.
My mom grounded me and took away my iPod touch and my privilege to play basketball with my friends every last day of school of each week. I begged her though to let me play basketball with my friends every friday after school. But my mom reminded me if I was on the basketball team, do you really think that they would let you play the games with those kind of grades? I was really upset that day and luckily she really made me think about that question. Both my parents wanted me to do better, so they made me stay grounded until i get my grades back up. From that day on i took my classes more seriously and made sure that i wouldn't forget to study for my tests and of course do my homework.
Homework and tests really hurt my grades in the beginning of my high school years. Although i never had a D or an F i was still struggling to keep up with deadlines. I finally learned why they would always get mad at me for making careless mistakes or having missing assignments when it comes to school. Its all because they want me to go to a good college and that i would have a good future. I also learned that the actions or lifestyles i made then could stay with me when i go out in this world. Thats why little by little im trying to act more mature and adult like so i would be able handle life without my parents constantly reminding me what to do
This event really changed my goals on being a basketball player. My goal back then was to be on the basketball team and to also do well in my studies so that i wouldn't let down my parents any longer. From what my mom kept telling on the end of my freshman year really impacted me on how i looked in my classes. I used to always think that my classes were going to be very easy but now i would always think that they are going to be a challenge but all i have to do is to put effort into everything i do.

Describing the Picture
1.The woman was hesitating to pull the trigger. Staring into her lovers eyes, all she could see was guilt. Her
eyes filled with tears she knew she couldn't shoot him. As she was about to pull the trigger, her lover begged
for mercy. She became dogmatic. She closed her eyes and allowed the gun speak for herself.
2. It was a ordinary day. We had our daily volleyball practices. While the radio was playing, the DJ went to
commercial. "50% off all sports bra's and spandex's for women". This was a joyous day.
3.I have been waiting for this moment. I have been waiting for months in fact. I remember that day when my
dad left to serve the country and to protect it. I also remember praying to God everyday just to ask for
protection over him and that he would come back safe. Many months later, there he was. Coming out of the
giant plane looking for us. As soon i saw him me and my siblings ran to him. With his arms open wide, we
hugged him.

It was 6 am in the morning and my dad woke me up. He made my breakfast and wanted me to hurry up. I was too lazy to get up and so i chose to stay in bed and not listen to him. Then 10 minutes later i see my dad with water in his hands just sprinkling it all over my face. But i still wouldn't listen to him and tried to go back to sleep. This time my dad dragged me off the bed and carried me to the table and tried to make me eat my breakfast. I was very angry with him that morning because it was too early in the morning for me and i was so tired. Trying to keep my head up i used my arm as a stand for my head to rest on. Feeling annoyed by my dad taking a picture i was silent and decided to not eat the cereal he made.

It was our annuel "adventure night". My friends and I go wondering into random places and have a
adventure. As we were going down this suspicious rode. As we went followed this rode, we came upon
what seemed to be abandoned house. While walking into the house we noticed that the walls turned into a
green like texture. The suddenly the door slammed shut. Startled, I started screaming, then a voice said
"Silence! you are trespassing on the holy ones ground" Then it appeared.. A sloth. This sloth wasn't a
ordinary sloth, it had a lustrous gold with a majestic wond. It then said "Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding"
Everyone blacked out... We woke up wobbled and woozy. We were all sloths
